Women’s Kaftan Fabric Choices

Real 100% Silk Georgette
This lightweight sheer fabric has a tight weave of pun yarn, which creates an overall gossamer appearance due to its extremely thin threads. With its tight mesh-like quality the custom made silk fabric is highly transparent and shows off its light, delicate, and fragile qualities. It is generally taut all over but has a slight amount of give on the bias. Dry clean only recommended, can be hand washed in cold water with silk detergent.

Polyester Georgette
This soft and dry Georgette fabric has twisted yarns and a classic crepe face. Made from
synthetic fibers, which blend the best of the old and new worlds, our Poly Georgette fabric is alight weight printable fabric, with a stunning drape and color with a brilliant show through. Wash at 86°F, hang to dry, low temperature iron if necessary.

Polyester Fashion Crepe
This stretch crepe fabric is beautifully textured and full of character, thanks to its
springy, spun yarn. It is ideal to use for kaftans, due to its lightweight yet durable
nature, and its super soft face. Our crepe material has a wonderful stretch with a solid
construction, and its unique double face means that the distinct, crepe handle can be
felt on the front and the back. Wash at 86°F, low tumble dry heat, hang to dry, do not
wring, low heat iron.

Loose Knit Jersey
Our patterns printed onto our loose jersey custom knit fabric will make a beautiful kaftan for you. With 5% elastane, loose knit jersey has excellent stretch and recovery, making it a
comfortable and easy fabric to wear. This is a very breathable fabric and has an interesting
construction. The knit is somewhat uneven, creating a random pattern where the yarns are dense in some places and sparse in others. Wash at 86°F, low tumble dry heat, hang to dry, do not wring, low heat iron.
